"Congo's Greatest Shame" - A Washington Times Report
I built this Flash interactive to contain all the the content for The Washington Times series "Rape and Recovery in Congo" that explored the systematic epidemic of rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Washington Times photojournalist Mary Calvert and UN correspondent Betsy Pisik spent 6 weeks in Congo interviewing and photographing the victims of this massive violation of human rights.
The interactive not only contains the content the journalists produced in the field but I was able to conduct interviews with them about their personal experiences in covering the story. I also designed and built several interactive charts and timelines to illustrate information visually.
